Why We’re Passionate About a Cleaner Home
Our company name and slogan, “Northern Yankee Moonshine with a Southern Family Tradition”, relates to our family history and background and the way that we like to do business. We have a family history of moonshining and a desire to keep that heritage alive.
We are from the Cincinnati area and found our way along the Ohio River to Ripley, Ohio. We opened our Northern Yankee Moonshine Distillery in July 2022. We are a small craft distillery that crafts our distilled spirits in small batches, the old fashioned way, like the moonshiners did in the backwoods.
Our Award Winning Moonshine
Our founder, Doug Taylor, earned national recognition on the Moonshiners: Master Distiller in February 2021, where he was awarded the title of Master Distiller for his signature Honey Peach Brandy.
This wasn’t just a win—it was validation of a craft refined through generations. Following his victory, a limited-run release of his award-winning recipe was selected for production and distribution by Sugarlands Distilling Company.
